Billing Cycle Changes and Water Meter Upgrade Notice

BILLING CYCLE CHANGES FOR UTILITY CUSTOMERS
- The utility reading and billing cycle is changing:
- Currently meters read around the 20th of each month with bills processed on last Saturday of the month.
- After May the meters will be read around the 7th of the month with bills processed around the 15th of the month.
- Because of the Transition:
- No utility bill will be issued in June
- The July bill will cover usage from around May 21st to around July 8th
- The July bill will likely be higher than normal because it includes a longer service period
- The July bill will also have an extended due date
- Your current May bill is still due by June 27th.
WATER METER UPGRADE
- Contractors Ledford and Parker will begin replacing water meters today May 27, 2026.
- Installation of all water meters is expected to take about 5 weeks.
- Most installations:
- Take less than 30 minutes
- Require a brief water interruption
- Do not require anyone to enter your home
- Unfortunately, we are unable to provide exact days or times of replacement
- The new “radio read” meters:
- Eliminate manual meter reading
- Are intended to improve billing accuracy
- Do not change water rates
- Due to current construction on Old Sunshine Road, residents’ meter changeout may take place at a different time. Updates can be found on towns webpage under New & Notices-Project Updates
