The Town Hall will be open Saturday, March 28, 2020 to receive payments during regular business hours. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, you are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to pay by the following methods:

  • Check or Cash Payments: Use the drop box, for your convenience envelops have been placed by the drop box during business hours. Payments placed in drop box by 1:00 p.m. on Saturday March 28, 2020 will be posted to your account that day.


  • Credit Card Payments: Call (828)245-5108 to have payment processed by phone. If you get voicemail leave your name and phone number; your call will be returned on Saturday. If you get a busy signal, please try calling back. Additional hours to receive payments by phone outside regular business hours are:


  • Friday, March 27 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 28 from noon – 1:00 p.m. 


If you must pay in-person, please knock on the door and you will be served at the door. Please keep in mind to follow CDC’s recommendation in keeping 6 to 10 feet between people while waiting in line. If you are experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough and/or shortness of breath and unable to make payment by drop box or phone. Please return to your car, call (828)245-5108 and someone will come to your car to wait on you.

If additional changes in hours for Saturday March 28th take place it will be posted on the webpage, facebook page and at town hall.
